Mixed ensemble and piano
About the work
Written as a school or college ensemble item of imtermediate difficulty for use in competitions, assemblies or ensemble examination situations.
The Changing Seasons is a musical portrait of the natural world in perpetual transformation. Rather than depicting the seasons as four separate episodes, the music suggests the continuous cycle of nature — growth, maturity, decline, stillness and renewal.
At its heart, The Changing Seasons is a reflection on the beauty of change itself — the constant movement of the natural world and the promise that every ending contains the beginning of something new.
